Jupiter and four moons
Beautiful clear night yesterday in my neck of the woods (Wisconsin). Did a smorgasbord of imaging including Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars including some IR pass imaging of Mars with an 850 filter which I’ve yet to process. Thought I’d share Jupiter and four of its moons including the beginning of what should be transit of Io in the equatorial region on the left side of the disc along with passage of the Great Red Spot. Improved my planetary images by upgrading to ASI224 on my Celestron 5SE, Firecapture settings red52, blue99 with gain keeping RBG histo at 57% or so. Processed and stacked 1500 frames and took red up a notch with Registax. Final processing with GIMP and some handy apps including Adobe photoshop express, free portion. Still relatively new to this but think I’m getting better.
