Astronomy Designs for T-shirts or Whatever

#1

Post by seer »

Coming up with designs for T-shirts and things is something I've done in the past and something I will probably be doing in the future. I am sure that there must be astronomy T-shirts out there. I would like to see what you have and what you can come up with?
Here is a very simple one that I just came up with.

I have a glow in the dark dew shield cap that says "this end up" for my 150mm. I really should install it one of these days

I have several T-shirts - my favorite is a glow in the dark spiral galaxy with one of those google location pins out near one edge. The caption is "You are here".

Here's one that I have seen a guy wearing. Of course, there is a controversy over whether Carl Sagan ever said "billions and billions" lol

I think he did when he was a guest on the Johnny Carson show. He was a guest quite a few times because Carson was a kindred spirit.

If you cannot read it, it is most likely on backwards and if the arrow is pointing down just rotate the cap? :)

What would it be like to have a P-40 Warhawk's Flying Tigers shark face painted on my telescope? How difficult would it be to make that happen? Does anybody decorate their telescopes?

I should not be that hard to do, try drawing it out first until you like it :)

It would be great if there was some kind of a decal available then it would look perfect and probably be a lot easier. What if it were glow in the dark or reflective?

These decals are usually available from hobby stores that sell radio controlled planes in different sizes.
Cost may be a bit high though.

I recall seeing people who made their own scopes make them look very artsy but I don't recall seeing decorated ones. Would it impede the scopes function in any way?
