Maybe someone else will be able to identify the 'new one' for you Marios.

The latest image I usually look to is on www.spaceweather.com. If you click on the image in the left column it populates full screen with current annotations. Your questionable region is just barely visible and not labeled there. I suspect it hasn't been given a designation yet.
Oh, BTW, your AR12689 has transposed numbers. It's supposed to be 2869.
I also use their image to determine which way is "UP" when I'm imaging.

Thanks for the comments! Nice feedback
" I suspect it hasn't been given a designations yet " - It is a new AR 12870 from solarharm.com
" Your AR 12689 has transposed numbers " - Thanks!

Once again Marios, your sketches blow me away! :D So well done, I wish I had your talents, as well as your skies...

Astrobee is right; spaceweather.com is my goto site, though I find it's a little "behind" my actual time as for what is happening, especially lately with the Sun forming new spots after they've posted their image for the day.

I tried solarharm.com, doesn't seem to work..?? One site I use frequently is from the SOHO spacecraft: https://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/sunspots/. Over 25 years and still going :D This gives me an almost real-time image of what to expect, and you may have caught AR2870 just forming!

Thanks again for the share and all the best,
Mark
