3532 Firefly
I have sketched this impressive cluster in Carina before.
Was good to revisit and compare to a previous sketch done 4 years ago.
Pencil, pastels and patience...
Cheers
Wayne.

Enlarge the image and one sees a breathtaking number of small stars. A painstaking monumental job.

Thanks Ed, difficult... but at the same time a good way to switch off from the day to day grind.10538 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 10:53 am Nice work Wayne! Not too many people can appreciate how difficult it is to sketch an object at the eyepiece in the dark usually with a small light of some sort. I too enjoy sketching objects especially Deep Sky using a clipboard and a small red light hanging from the focuser of my dob. This is very nice work from you and it’s great that you are sharing them with us!
