NGC 4755 Sketch.

#1

Post by KingClinton »

Had some nice clear sky tonight and did a sketch of NGC 4755.

I had hardly completed the sketch and clouds rolled in, now two hours later after getting the image in Photoshop and adding the labels it is clearing again and the scope is still out, so after this post I am back outside!
The photo reveals the sketch paper texture and gives it that vignetting look.

The sketch is white pencil on black sketching paper A5 size. The stars shown in the sketch are down to the 9th magnitude.

Thanks for looking, heading back out now! :D
Eyeballs, binoculars, sketch box, Scopes n stuff.

Very nice sketch Clinton!
I’ve never sketched, but I would think that you kind of get very ‘close’ to that patch of sky or view. Much more than v view or image.
Well done Clinton!

Thanks,
Jim

Wow "Clinton" -

I've never viewed any sketches before. I was just exploring around the forum and found this sub-forum.

At first glance I thought it was a regular AP image. The way you do the different star size/brightness and the shading of the background are amazing.

I will definitely visit this area again.
