Sunspot AR2758 or Where's Waldo?

I woke up today to total darkness. Oh DST, why do you exist?? The good thing was I had an appointment at 10AM, so I could take my time. The weather called for clear skies in the morning, followed by rain. On a whim I checked Spaceweather.com, and there was a small sunspot forming. I checked outside just before 9 and thought Why not.
I took out my C80-HD, Baader solar film and Canon T3. The scope is always set for focus with the camera on the Moon, so that wasn't a problem. I took 25 shots at ISO 800 and 1/2000th sec exp. Packed it all in, went to my appointment, work, then back home and processed all this. After running it all through PIPP, AS2, and ImPPG, I finally saw what I think is the spot.

This is a link to the SDO/HMI image for today. I've learned over the years that the object in question will always be a little to the right in images from me in respect to the image from the SDO.

This is my image; it's the dark splotch in the middle of the bottom half of the disc to the left a bit. Just use your imagination...



This is it at 150%. To me it looks like a sad face. Just like mine was when I saw it

Nice work on the microscopic sunspot Mark! It seems that this year is worse than last. Last year I already saw some spots by now.

As of late, those tiny spots don't last over a day, but that one seems to be sticking around. Not a big point, but perhaps a sign of better things in the future. It appears to be growing... Here it is from NSO/GONG one minute ago.

That is definitely a teaser sunspot Mark!
Good that you managed to get it, nothing but clouds at the moment, my first best indication there are spots...
