Mercury Transit GIF
ADMINISTRATORS... PLEASE PUT THIS WHERE IT BELONGS, AS I HAVE NO IDEA.
I've done a few animated GIFs before, but a duck flying across the sun is much more simple than trying to use different "snapshots" taken at different times. While my mount tracks rock-solid, the seven snapshots in this GIF were very hard to crop correctly... thus the "bouncing around".
Anyhoo... Have a little fun at my expense... no problem.
(Left-click the thumbnail to make it go.)
Thanks for the peek. Clear Skies

Re: Mercury Transit GIF
The next transit is in 2032. I'm 72 now and doubt I'll be around, but I'm gonna be ready.

Re: Mercury Transit GIF
That's really cool (or hot depending on which is appropriate!)
I have a bunch that I took and thought about doing something like what you did, but time keeps getting away from me! Maybe a good rainy day project.

Re: Mercury Transit GIF
Pretty darn cool, John!
You'll only be 85 in 2032. You got this. You'll probably be meaner than a rattlesnake by then. Just let me know if you need any help setting up. I'll come running.
