Mercury Transit
Transit of Mercury. I was shooting through cirro-stratus. Focusing the C-90 is a challenge at the best of times, and the conditions did not make for precise focusing. I thought this was pretty close. But I had to do quite a bit of sharpening, which brought out the noise and emphasized the dust bunnies on the sensor.

That second image is awesome, Kathy. That's precisely the color my Baader Planetarium glass solar filter would have produced if we didn't have thick snow clouds since last evening until present. I'm really starting to hate snow.
