Massive prom on sun today

#1

Post by Ben Cartwright SASS »

Massive prom on the sun today! It was very faint and hard to get a good image
Lunt 102ED, Quark Chromosphere (+1 for prom) ZWO ASI174mm
500 frames 25 stacked

I usually image with the Quark set to +3 or +4 for surface and proms. But I decided to do both +3 for this prom but then changed the Quark to +1 for the prom and it came out much better. Of course you have to wait for 8 minutes to image it.
