AR 2860 on August 31st 2021

Hey all,

Here is AR 2860. It was a last-minute catch as I had a brief break from rain and clouds (RIght now we got IDA hitting us with her remnants and Tornadoes, in fact, 2 tornadoes touched down 5 miles from my house and another one 15 miles).

Anyway, The seeing was below average and very hazy. I think it was from the wildfires but it didn't say we had smoke in our area. But I managed to grab 5 images which only 1 turned out and that is this one. I had to turn up the exposure to 20ms for 15 seconds and gain just over 350. Anyway, I am kind of happy that I got something because I didn't think anything would be useable.

Daystar Quark Chromosphere
ZWO 174mm with tilt adjuster
iOptron ZEQ25GT

Captured in FC and processed in AS3 and PS.

Thanks for Looking :)

That's a great image, especially for only one image! Good timing on your part :D

Hope your weather calms down some too!

All the best,
Mark
