Hi all I took this image of the sun today with my Skywatcher 200p telescope with the solar filter and 183c camera. The sunspots are 2842 on the right,2845 underneath and 2844 on the left handside. The temperature on the camera was 38.1 degrees in recording the data.I thought I would share, thanks for looking.

Re: Sunspots from the 07/18/21
Nice to see something posted, been a while.
What capture software are you using? I would recommend firecapture purely for the use of a flat, it is amazing to get rid of dust bunnies. It takes a shot from a defocused image and subtracts that from your image getting rid of annoying dust and stuff.
I'm not too sure how well it works on full disc images but others who work at that image scale might be able to help.

Mentored by Keith, Mike, John and Bill. (The old guard) and forever grateful.

Re: Sunspots from the 07/18/21
Small steps Andy.
Get a bulb blower on all of your optics, I use one of those little rocket things every time I get my kit out and treat it like it has a virus on it. I no longer use all of the fibrous things to clean sensors etc as I left more on than I got off most of the time.
Your film is going to attract all sorts of blemishes so I think the flat is the way to go. Let me know if you try firecapture and if it causes you any issues.
I recently returned to imaging the sun after a couple of years and it took me a week to get used to how things worked and I had been doing it for years. Just ask, happy to help if I can.
Fraz.
