AR2833 and a new spot?

#1

Post by Thefatkitty »

Hi all, hope you're good :D

Just a quick post here; been a busy couple of days. Even still, yesterday and today I managed to get the time in to take some shots of AR2833. These were my skies today when I got in at just after 4PM:

I managed to get 20 frames in the "blue" with my C80-HD, Canon EOS 550D and Baader solar film. Take a close look at the 10 o'clock position:

This morning I checked SpaceWeatherLive and saw that the New Regions were zero. Well, that was this morning. Seems there might be a new spot forming in that area; time will tell and I hope it does!

If I have the time tomorrow, I'm going to take the stack of AR2833 I made from the 15th, 16th and 17 and merge it with the ones from yesterday and today. If I'm lucky, I'll get tomorrow in as well, then it should rotate off the face of the disc and you won't have to put up with me and AR2833 anymore...

All the best and have a good night/day!
Mark
