Sunrise Eclipse Composite
We ended up shooting the eclipse at our favourite local spot which is a 20 minutes' drive away. It does not have a clear view to the horizon and we knew we’d miss out on the first 13 minutes of the show including the moment of maximum eclipse, but in exchange we knew we’d love the foreground.
The solar images were taken with a solar filter 4 minutes apart. The sky and lone tree background was taken with no filter, just before the sun cleared the ridge. All the images were taken at the same camera position and manually aligned and blended in Photoshop.

And as the others have said, you did a great job on the framing for this event, including the foreground features. Thanks for sharing this view with us Jon, and congratulations on winning the TSS APOD Award today.
