Prominence Sat 12th June
Equipment
PST Mod in a Bressier 127 donor & Baader internal DERF
Coronado BF15 with Maier replacement ITF.
ZWO ASI174 camera with 2.5 x Powermate.
Capture software - Firecapture
Frames captured=6018 @ 800x800
90+FPS (This is to keep the capture time down to a minute)
Shutter=8.000ms , Gamma=43 , Gain=0.
Flat used.
Stacking software - Autostakkert3
Stacked 10% of 6018 frames = 600 frames
Low level of quality indicated in AS3.
Deconvolution software - imppg
Sigma 1.6192 @ 50 iterations
Unsharp mask I have yet to master.
Finishing software - Photoshop
Crop,
Histogram stretch
Adjustments -> shadows/highlights,
Split prom from surface with a magic wand selection and copied to seperate layers.
Processed surface normal and prom inverted, mainly to get prom visibiity.
Used colour balance on surface, selective colour on prom, combined and touched hue on both.
The desire was to get a panoramic view of surface and prom as a whole.
Spending obscene amounts of money building a big fracking solar telescope.
