This morning I left for work at just after 5AM; had some distance to cover as we have 2 people off. It was raining when I left, and pouring by the time I got to Stratford, Ontario. The rest of the morning was on/off rain, then about 1PM the humidity kicked in with what looked like the threat of thunderstorms to the west. That never happened, and as I was heading home at about 3PM, it did cool off a bit.
At 5PMish, I noticed it was sort of clear outside. Key words here being "sort of". Well, I haven't done anything astronomy-wise (night or day) since May 27th. Kinda feeling restless here...
I brought out my C80-HD on its CG4, Baader solar film, and Canon EOS 550D. My skies were haze with occasional patches of mostly blue.
I took four sets of 10 to 15 shots over the clearish windows I had for the next 40 minutes; then I was called in for dinner...
All the pics were taken at ISO 100 and 1/250th sec exp, the second set at about 530PM was the best of the lot. I aligned them in PIPP, stacked the best 50% (lowest quality level was 99.59%!) in AS3, and them some very mild R/L deconvolution in ImPPG. After that I ran it through
My sky conditions when I took the photos that turned out the best:

Now it's just a mess outside. Temps here are supposed to increase tomorrow to about 33C (~97F). I see by my long range forecast it does not look good. I hope you have better luck!!
All the best,
