Telescope: Coronado 60mm Solarmax II
Camera: ZWO ASI120MM-S & Tele Vue Powermate 2.5x
Image source: 250 frame AVI video (2)
Date: 5/29/2021

Any idea if one of these dark artifacts is a sunspot? I tried looking the features for May29, 2021 but came up short, so I have no idea if I got anything here. But I hear it is good to stay in practice with ones imaging techniques. So that is what this is. It has been very cloudy/hazy here it seems so seeing conditions have not been that great.

Thanks for looking!

Hello Greg. A beautiful solar image, and it looks great on the flickr site. That bright spot on the upper right may be AR2825, and is right where the Raben Systems Solar Map placed it on May 29. Those dark blotched at the top look to be filaments, which are prominences as seen "face on" to us. They appear darker because they are further away from the sun's surface and thus are cooler when contrasted against the sun. Raben Systems shows no sunspots currently in this area. Here is a link to this handy tool at:
https://www.raben.com/maps/date/
And you caught some nice prominences on the northwest and west limbs with your Coronado 60mm Solarmax II solar scope . I hope this helps Greg, and thanks for sharing this with us on here.
