Proms from Sun SPots AR2824 & AR 2826

#1

Post by TheButcher »

I probably got the title and spots wrong, but oh well lol. What I thought I imaged was the Proms from the Sunspots AR 2824 & 2826 when they were entering the back Limb part.

The seeing was below average but wanted to go out anyway to try to Catch those Sunspots especially AR 2824. So I imaged the Sun this past weekend with my Celestron 120xlt and Daystar Quark Chromosphere with a 174mm

10 seconds of footage per capture
.10ms 240 Gain for Sun Chromosphere
.10ms 393 gain for the Proms
Used Best100 imagesout of 1,000

Captured in Fire Capture and processed in AS3/Registax then off to PScc

Thanks for Looking :)

Very nice, it appears you and the new refractor are getting along very well.

Thanks All, :)

Hi Keith I use the ZWO 174mm. It uses a Global shutter rather than a rolling shutter. It has an advantage over a rolling shutter for faster-moving things because it captures the whole image at once rather than scanning the image vertically.

Hi Brian. Another excellent solar image from you with the XLT120 scope and Daystar Quark Chromosphere. Excellent solar prominences and details in your capture. Thanks for sharing this with us Brian, and keep up this fine work.
