Sunspots AR 2824 and AR 2826 On May 27th, 2021

#1

Post by TheButcher »

Hey all,

Here is my capture of the two sunspots AR 2822 and AR 2826.

It was imaged with a Celestron 120 XLT Omni, ZWO 174mm Astro Camera using a Daystar Quark Chromosphere H Alpha. It rode on my iOptron CEM70.

It was captured in Fire Capture and is composed of the best 25% 1000 frames that took 10 seconds to image. The processing was done by Autostakkert 3 and then used Registax 6 to bring out details, then it went off to Photoshop CC to finalize it and add the color.

Thanks for looking :)

Thanks all :)

About the Etalon, I started in the middle and worked my way turning it left and back up to the middle, then ran out of Solar real estate at my house lol It went behind my Tree. Next time out I will do the right side and play with the left again. This one was from the 10:00 position.

All the best,
Thanks, Fatkitty and Everyone :)

I couldn't imagine how it would look on something that big. My monitor is only 27". But I should try that on my TV upstairs, I think it's around that size.
Also on my site I set the zoom level to 4, it goes up to 9 or 10 I think. I backed off the zoom a bit because I thought I over-processed it.

All the best,
I don't mind at all :) That looks Awesome up there on the TV. I can't wait to try it out on mine.
And a Free TV is better than a paid one when it comes to telescope money lol.

Also, try some other stuff on the site like the ISS and Moon and some Nebulas, I can't imaging what it would look like in person.

Thanks TB; I just couldn't help it  And I did look at the other pics on your site on my TV, seriously; you've really got some great images there!

Yup, free is good. I was coming home one day last year when I saw the TV by the side of the road with a piece of paper on it that said Free Works Great with the remote taped to the top. Reasons to pull over!!

Even the computer I use was free... Driving my wife to work one day 3 years ago, saw this black box out with the garbage; turned out it was an Intel I7 with 16 GB and a 2 terabyte HD. One person's trash is another person's treasure... ;)

Now I just need to find a PST or even a Lunt :)

All the best,
Mark
