May 24, 2021 Solar Ha

It's been over a year since I shot any Solar Ha stuff and I've completely forgotten all my processing techniques.
I'm almost embarrassed to share these two different versions of the same data collected this afternoon but here goes anyway.

Let me know which version you like best or if they both make you want to puke. :D

Lunt 80mm Dedicated Ha single stack scope, ZWO ASI1600mm camera, 1000frames captured in SharpCapPro, Initial processing in AutoStakkert 3!, Colorization and butchering in Photoshop CC.

If anybody would like to have a go at processing these, here's a zip containing four of the processed files. Two are regular and two are inverted.
I'm sure anybody can do better than my attempt.

I think the top one looks good!
It's hard for me to critique as I'm just a visual guy, and it looks better than anything I have seen at the EP :)

I understand the whole, getting used to processing again.

I like the second paler of the two as it appears a little more evenly illuminated. I can't live without Firecapture and its inline flat.
Mentored by Keith, Mike, John and Bill. (The old guard) and forever grateful.
PST mod stage 2 - Quark on extended loan and yet to repay with value ;)
Camera- ASi 174 mono no tilt required.
BF10,15,30 straight through with baader ffc. (looking to replace the rusted IFT on 10 + 15 with a maier replacement)
Lots of nighttime scopes and stuff but focus on the sun.

They both have their pluses, but for my taste I'd go with the first red fiery one. Great pics both!

All the best,
Mark

"The Hankmeister" Celestron 8SE, orange tube Vixen made C80, CG4 & AZ-EQ5 mounts.
Too much Towa glass/mirrors.

H/A - PST stage 2 mod with a Baader 90mm ERF on a Celestron XLT 102 (thanks Mike!)
Ca-K - W/O 61mm, Antares 1.6 barlow, Baader 3.8 OD and Ca-K filters with a ZWO ASI174mm.
W/L - C80-HD with Baader 5.0 & 3.8 Solar film, Solar Continuum 7.5nm and UV/IR filters with a Canon EOS 550D.

Oh yeah, and Solar Cycle 25 :D

W/L scope Williams Optic Megrez 110mm / Lunt herschel wedge .
Night scope Celestron 9.25 XLT
