Very nice and very crisp Mike.
The mono shots look like they are clinging on, a great indicator of depth and detail.
Mentored by Keith, Mike, John and Bill. (The old guard) and forever grateful.

Spending obscene amounts of money building a big fracking solar telescope.

Mike, some great pictures! Glad the snow is gone; it seemed to take forever. The last of ours melted a week ago.
Nice prominences around AR2018/20/21, as well as the ones to the right side. Great detail in both B/W and color. I'm curious, which scope did you use?

All the best and congrats on the APOD; well deserved! :D

Than you everyone for the kind comments and thank you Gordon for selecting my image for the AOPD .
I am pretty much just a solar guy and I was waiting all week for my sky to give me the opportunity to grab those last two AR's , there wasn't much to shoot but it got me out for my first round for 2021 ! Thanks again everyone !

Hi Mark ,
The scope a PST mod built into a Skywatcher 100mm x 900mm Pro ED , It also has a 90mm Coronado external etalon mounted to the dew shield to make it a double stacked scope , this is what is bringing out the surface detail . The shot that was selected was at native F/L , the closer ones I used a 1.6 Antares badlow . This has been my main imaging work horse for about 8 years now , it has Moonlite remote focusing as well as a second Moonlite motor that I have set up for tuning the internai etalon .
