Prom Re-Process

#1

Post by Lowjiber »

I posted this capture yesterday, but it wasn't all that good. The surface sucked swamp water.:) This morning I applied a flat frame to even out the surface. While it still isn't that great, I feel a little better about it.

Thanks for the re-peek.:)

We both are well aware that shooting at the focal lengths that the Quark delivers requires a pretty decent sky . On the other hand your Lunt will be more forgiving when the sky's are not . I have wondered why you never seem to use it anymore . I do remember seeing some great "Lunt Shots" from you in the past . You would be backed out more but wouldn't your Lunt be a better option for you when your sky is poor ?
Solar scopes (Coronado Ha) 60mm double stack , 90mm double stack , 150mm single stack .
W/L scope Williams Optic Megrez 110mm / Lunt herschel wedge .
Night scope Celestron 9.25 XLT
Mounts HEQ6 , HEQ5 , Losmandy G8

:Astronomer1: Mike, you make a good point. I loaned my Lunt to a friend who just returned it. When I get my mount swapped out I'll likely start using it some. With decent proms popping up all around the limb now, I should be returning to those "Days of yore" soon.
