Thanks! I thought it was fuzzy and out of focus, as the Sun is ~23 degrees high at 1pm in Chicago these days!! I don't think the Sun was above the 2x air-mass and therefore I was viewing through too much atmosphere to get a clear shot.

I may try again today, but the Sun is so low I have a very short window of opportunity. I normally don't bother in the winter time to check the Sun, but it does seem solar activity is on the up-tic.
