John, that is fantastic! As much as I'd like to see that in color, the detail in B&W is great! Can't stop looking at it :D

BTW, did you know you caught a "light bridge"? From what I understand, a pretty rare phenomenon, but somehow I'm not surprised you got that...

And John, no offense, but I had to laugh. Cold at 51F? I guess it depends on the environment we were raised in; I'm still in a t-shirt at that temperature. I'd probably die in your daytime heat...

All the best buddy, and very well done!!
Mark

Thanks Gordon.:)

I use two sites... Metro Blue and Clear Dark Sky. When they both agree, the forecast is rarely wrong.

Like most, I've used Clear Dark Sky seemingly forever. However, Metro Blue provides more complex information. Of course, the hillbilly in me always does the old sanity-check... The darker blue the sky is, the better the seeing.

Also, when the seeing is 3/5 or less, I turn the Quark one notch more clockwise. With good seeing, I usually shoot surfaces at +3... The shot above was at +4. (I'm looking for more contrast.)

Your wish is my command. I don't really like color on ARs because it has a tenancy to wash-out finer details, but since we've been working together I threw some color on the image for you.

I didn't really frame the shot for proms, but while I was at it I pulled the proms out of the image for you too.:)

Hope you like it.:)
