Clear day as we come out of solar minimum and knowing there's a sunspot, I set up the XT6 and had a look-see. I caught this shot of AR2783, but also noticed that there was another pair of sunspots higher up. Maybe the days of solar minimum are behind us.

Hi MrShorty. A very nice AR2783 active region image in white light with the XT6 scope. Even my usually reliable Raben Systems has yet to present or qualify/name this new sunspot region(s) higher above yet, although it shows up in our TSS forum portal solar window.

Hi MrShorty, nicely done! :Clap: Seems those spots you noticed are now AR2784, according to spaceweather.com, and are only a day old so your timing was perfect.

Seems like Solar Cycle 25 might be upon us; I for one hope so!
