Three Stooges on NW Limb

#1

Post by Lowjiber »

Seeing was 4/5 yesterday due to a thin layer of smoke in the upper atmosphere. NSO/GONG didn't have much to offer, but I had just installed a new focuser on the 80mm and wanted to work out any kinks. These little guys looked lonesome, so I loaded up the Quark and took the shot.:)

Captured with SkyWatcher 80mm ED, Quark-Chromosphere set at -2 for the proms and +4 for the surface; ASI174MM-cooled cam. Outside air temperature was 108 deg (F) with just a hint of wind.

Thanks for the peek.:)

Hi John. A very nice image of the 3 proms and fine granularity too. You did a good job with the SkyWatcher 80mm ED and Quark-Chromosphere. Thanks for sharing the view with us John, and the best of regards.
