Tuning Up For Imaging Season
With the Summer Solstice upon us (today), I figured I'd better sharpen up my Photoshop skills a bit. After looking at some images that are over-cranked a bit, I thought I'd take an old image from 2017 and hype it up a little. This image won something on AF, but I can't remember what.
Below is the original JPEG image and the "popped" one right above it.
Thoughts????

Hopefully the new solar cycle will give you some new imaging opportunities.

And yes I have definitely become aware (as your 2 images show) you have to up the intensity of prominence details. Otherwise things look rather flat. I am also getting wrapped up in trying to coax more details out of the surface so it looks "right". YIKES!
Bottom line, a great image comparison and hoping to see more from you soon!

*By "famous", I mean that only myself and one other imager were lucky enough to catch it... right time, right place.
