Best Lyrid capture I've seen.

This is something really special.

Petr Horálek from the Czech Republic has produced a fantastic 360 degree image of the Lyrids. This is by far the best I've seen. Many pictures appearing on sites like space.com are just pictures of satellite tracks or random non-Lyrid meteors. Petr's image shows 33 meteors all tracing back to the radiant in Lyra captured over 5 nights. The radiant is overhead because of his far north latitude. Despite his ideal location, he only averaged 5-6 meteors per night.

Because he and I are friends, I don't know the image status. Some facebook images can be seen by anyone with a facebook account, others can be seen by anybody even without a facebook account.

All a got for my Lyrid watch was a T-Shirt that said, "Meteor Showers Are Clean Fun" and actual eyeballs on one Lyrid meteor during a whole night's session under the stars. I've seen more action at a seniors' checkers tournament!
