i drove a couple hours northeast from redding california into modoc national forest to reach a bortle class 1 [2/17/20 ~10p]...

Lovely images. I'm also a bit jealous that you have access to B1.

A quick tip for your images. I'm assuming that you used the lens wide open because of all those pretty seagull star shapes at the periphery of your image. One way to minimize that is to stop down the lens one or two clicks so the lens is not wide open.
