More old data dug out of my Nikon

#1

Post by Kanadalainen »

Hunting through my old data, I was lucky and found a single raw 30 second exposure, taken with a Rokinon 10mm focused to infinity.

Nikon D90 10mpixel camera ~ purchased ca. 2008.

800 ISO, f2.8 - this lens likes to collect light with the aperture wide open.

Bortle 2 or 3 skies, much better out here than in my suburb!

Just as the galaxy plummets into the trees in this POV, you can get a glimpse of some of the "smokiness" that the star fields present. I like the effect of this against the blackness of the spruce and poplar trees.
