Windy night for a galaxy

Hello all,

In my list of unprocessed images I found this one, where I tried to light up the trees with my flashlight during the exposure.

Taken last June, 2019.

The spruce trees were being pushed around by a healthy onshore breeze, which controls the mossies but gives blurry trees.

Single exposure, 15 sec, Nikon D90, ISO 800, Rokinon 10 mm, f 3.3, static tripod, manual shutter, big D battery flashlight.

Thanks Jim, I need to use the light more often, and figure out how to do a differential exposure with foreground scenes. More stuff to learn.

Salut encore! We built a deck (eg, an observatory ) this spring just beside the lake, and this was one of the first times I used it for nightscaping.

Sweet! Thanks for the data, Ian. I'd like to do some starry nightscapes some day. This is an astronomical niche where single-frame comes into its own. I mean, does anyone stack foreground trees?
