Early this spring, I was busy getting my gear ready to shoot, and caught this image.

Its essentially untouched except to adjust the framing and boost the exposure a little. What I was trying for were the zillions of shades of blue of the sky as well as the matching reflections of the lake surface.

Too much wash in the sky for stars, but you can see Ursa Major top left, and Mizar if you squint. :)

A slight riffle of the surface cropped up with a tiny breeze, but otherwise the lake was still, just missed it!

Single exposure, 15 sec, Nikon D90, ISO 800, Rokinon 10 mm, f 3.3, static tripod, manual shutter release.

That is absolute stunning, mon ami! Mizar is there too; you weren't kidding!

It would only take me 22 hours or so to get there, and I've driven more in a stretch...... Such serenity.

Looking forward to some autumn shots :D
