Black Island nightscape

This was added to a post on one of my visual reports but I thought it could go here too... depicts the very edge of a hyperactive aurora impinging on what would otherwise be a strong showing by the Milky Way.

30 sec single exposure, corrected for exposure in Lightroom. ISO 1600, F3.3, Nikon D90 with 10mm Rokinon 2.8 lens.

Great shot. Looks like the aurora is a big cosmic bow and the milky way is an arrow that's shooting out of it.

Really must get more sleep, I'm hallucinating again.
