Starlink19 Fly Over - Exciting
was so Excited I could not sleep - 6:21am Starlink flew over Parker AZ - Very windy and cold -
set up 30 minutes before shoot - tripod outside over night a Mistake - sticky -
Tired now -
arrived from 340 % to exit 120 % - 37% above horizon -
Mag 3.5 listed but it Looked brighter because of # and closeness of satellites to each other -
group looked about 18 inches long ish -
could see individual satellites -
Tried to look and take phots at 50/50 % time-
seeing group come into view and fly over was -- Serious WoW --
I was so in awe that I really had trouble taking photos -
These were launched Feb 16 - 2 days ago - 278km high - final orbit 550km ish
sats will be raised Quickly/ spread apart and will be pretty hard to See and to photo -
will be mostly Magnatude 5 ish and higher -
I have seen starlink 6 times in the 100s of times I have Looked for them -
this view was by Far the Brightest and Best - Wow moment for sure -
most times have to Look at exact spot in sky to See and photo -
Starlink usually very faint on photos -
To See Starlink look quickly after a launch - they get much less visible in a few days -
One satellite provides high speed internet to 400 square miles of earth surface -
Tomorrow morning I have One more chance to see #19 -
supposed to be mag. 2.1 - so even brighter than this morning -
86 % overhead - Nice
have not decided what type photo to take - or just Look -
3 days from now chart shows mag. 5.8 -
Tried to add 2 more pictures but I cant get work - Jay
