photo was taken in Colorado - location was the darkest place I have even been -

Hi All
Wow Thanks - Made my day -

photo is straight out of camera -
MilkyWay is Super Bright this location close to Zero light pollution -
on rare cloudy night I could not see hand in front of face - Dark -

photo was take close to Durango Colorado in forest next to tiny town named Bay Field-
San Juan National Forest - Forest road # 528 - Its Super Dark there - 6K altitude -
closest town of any real size is Durango 25 miles away and its behind mountains
MilkyWay was Very Bright - Lit up ground -
this location has a Huge open field - Forest road #755A
sky is pretty much wide open view -
trees are far back and mountains are more like big hills and their back aways to -

skys were mostly crystal clear at night but in day time lots of Bubbling clouds that make great time lapse video -
sunsets not to good because cloud vanish late afternoon but makes for great night viewing -

I did find out how much location matters -
one area I camped at only 10 miles from this location was cloudy Most of the time -
I could See cloud bank hovering over this area for days from #755A location -
lesson learned - I camped CO for 3 months -

#755A would be a Great Spot for Star Party - 2 week camping - phone internet OK - Tmoble -
I dont remember seeing any airplanes or contrails -

Colorado is a Really Nice state they keep things Nice and have a Super Awesome Trail system-
I used the Colorado State Trail app called CO TREX -
Best map app of Any type I every used - makes google maps look like a joke -
shows trails of All types - Bicycle -Horse -Hiking - motorcycle - buggy -
Amazing how many trails there are -

I have electric dirtbike and rode some Great trails -
one trail I rode 12 times on Super Fun - all on Solar Power -

one thing about electric bikes is there Real quiet and Giant Deer with sharp looking horns
Looked just as Surprised as I was staring at them from 50 feet - Jay

HI All

BABOafrica I spent 3 month in Colorado - Im traveling in small Rv - photo spot was Very Nice - 6k altitude -
Super Dark on rare cloudy night I could not see my hand in front of face -
I remember thinking if I got lost in dark I could be toast -
on Clear night MilkyWay lit up ground -
I got few satellite photos because MilyWay light overpowered satellites -

Location Im at now has some small town lights on 3 sides - makes big difference -
next 2 morning starlnk 19 flying right over me -
if no clouds maybe get some Great photos - Maybe -- Jay
