Cassiopeia and the Andromeda Galaxy?
The $10,000 question is whether I captured the faint smudge of the AG in this phone photo, 10/9/20 at 9:58 PM. I keep thinking that I can perhaps make it out. (but maybe not!)

Yeah, a 4-second exposure time probably wouldn't do it. Used a google pixel 4 phone with the "night sight" feature. I am picking up a ZWO cam soon and that should help. I'm taking baby steps towards AP . Hoping to do some planetary work for starters.

I don't think you caught it, Michael. I blew out your sky and don't see it... Approximately fifteen degrees right. The second pic is just a more gentle bump.

Re: Cassiopeia and the Andromeda Galaxy?
The mottled sky seems to show mottle where the galaxy is, but it's the same all over, so I'm erring on the side of no!
Nice Cassiopeia though!
