Milky Way over Rural Illinois

#1

Post by jrkirkham »

Here is a shot from a few nights ago when my daughter and I were messing around. This is an old house near my observatory. The owner passed away a few years ago and the house was left to the state. I often see vehicles turn down this lane both day and night, but have no idea where they are going. According to Google Maps the lane ends in a dead end at some field back there. Someday I too may take a trip down that lane and solve the mystery.

Beautiful pic, but hopefully not a meth lab or illegal growing operation back there...
