I seldom image space to the West. Forecast was average, NOT! There was a distinct fuzz around the Moon and Venus. I set up the
CG-4 with dual axis tracking and stuck a 90mm Orion achromat (
f/10) on it. The real goal was to capture Venus with a barlow in the imaging train. Ummmm, I'm gonna throw the Barlow in the junk drawer! I ended up stuffing the Canon 1100D into the scope. Once I was fairly happy with the focus I ran a few images off, captured with
APT. The capture was ISO 100, Exposure 1/100th of a second.
Once done picking on the Moon I swung over to Venus. That didn't work out too well, over exposed and tiny in my
FOV. After deciding enough was enough I packed up the stuff. By the time I put it all away the Sky was full of clouds that weren't supposed to be there......
The image below was run quickly through
PI. Hope you like it, I have never used this combination of gear. I've been thinking of letting the seldom used gear go. Every time I consider it some catastrophe happens. Guess Covid-19, crashing world oil prices and an economic meltdown are my fault!
