It appears a natural brown-grey tone to me on my laptop.

A touch of red on my iPhone. I turned off "night mode" and it appears essentially the same as my laptop now.

I boosted the saturation some but I did not do anything to the color balance. When I finished it in PS5 it looked right. But my cell phone threw me. Night mode is probably the culprit.

It is really a nice image Mark!

I kinda see the reddish hue on my ipad, but you know, no matter what I do, I cannot ever get my pc and ipad to match.
Very frustrating. Calibrated pc monitor and still close, but not the same.

Hello Mark,

depending on the minerals on the Moon surface, and on the angle of incidence of sunshine, the Moon may reflect orange and bluish colors on the sunlit surface.
Nothing wrong with your capture.

If I am seeing any red hue in this image it is below Tycho Crater. I didn't see it before you pointed it out.

Hi Mark. A superb waxing gibbous lunar image from you here. Lot's of contrast and surface details. It wasn't until I read some of the rest of the posts here, that I noticed a small amount of russet brown tinge towards the top of your capture upon magnification. But, this in no way diminishes from your fine work. Thanks for sharing this with us Mark, and the very best of regards.
