Shunning the Frumious Bandersnatch

Twas three hours past brillig, and while there were no slithy toves present, the mount doth gyre and gimble in the wabe. The borogroves were most definitely mimsy. Not a single outgrabing mome rath did I see.

Can you tell I've had too much allergy medicine the past couple of days?

The sky has been pretty terrible the past few days also. Clearish tonight though. The north was very soupy, but the south (where the Moon whiffling and burbling above the tulgey wood) was decent.

I set up right when I got home to let the SV102T acclimate to the dropping temperature. After supper, I went back out to do my captures with the SV and the ASI174MC (and 2× barlow).

With the SV102T, I opted for a 6-panel mosaic. After I got my six 1000-frame video files in the can, I swapped out the SV102T/ASI174MC for the ED80/ASI294MC Pro combo. Just for grins. I ran off one 1000-frame full disk capture and called it done. I was getting pretty chilled by then.

After packing up, I came back inside and cranked my vids through Autostakkert! and stacked the best 10% of frames from each, then over to Registax for wavelet sharpening. After quick crop via GIMP, ICE did my mosaic compositing and then a final small color balance tweak in StarTools.

Hopefully this weekend I can hooptiously drangle the Moon with crinkly bindlewurdles and not get rent in the gobberwarts with a blurglecruncheon, see if I don't!

That is exactly what my mount does. I don't have a remedy yet. But nice images though.

Remembering your days from long ago and how you pooh-poohed the idea of AP, I'm siding towards a new nickname of Mr. Moon for you, because apparently you have mastered the art of imaging this foul, annoying, yet beautiful object.

At first I thought I was reading Lewis Carroll But cold medication can make you think like that, too. At least Alice wasn't 10 feet tall

Been lousy here as well, though like yourself, I had some clear sky for a bunch of Moon shots through my Jason, along with some viewing. Amazing how jar lids can help with focusing

Ah, sheer artistry in both the images and the words (lots of which I didn't understand but appreciated anyway).

Masterful lunar image. Especially like the one from the SV. I really don't think that it can get much better than that!
