Sunday morning Moon
Greetings all, hope the weekend has been good for you
I went to work Saturday, new job and there's a lot to do. It was only for five hours, but I got a lot accomplished
I crashed out early as I have a job I do Sunday as well. I drive about 20 miles to go see a dog named Sunny. This was from my previous job. I got to know the owners (they're elderly and disabled) and the dog absolutely loves me. When I told them I was leaving, the lady started to cry. Ah man, you're tugging on my heart strings here...!
So we made a deal whereas I show up Sunday mornings about 9AM to take Sunny for a walk. They pay me $30 which I think is too much; heck, I'd do it for free but they insisted. I showed up this morning, and purposely drove over the sewer grate as I always do to let her know I'm here. Got out of my truck, and I could hear that specific "Mark's here!!" howl I let myself into the back, and this pile of golden retriever exploded off the back porch right into my arms, almost knocked me over! Well, this is the first time in well over a year she hasn't seen me three times during the week.... We went for an hour walk with a frisbee.
Anyways, back to my original story (I'm tired here...). I woke up at about 2:30AM as my bladder makes me do these things. Took care of that, and decided to see if it was clear out. Why am I like this??
Of course it was, so I went and got my 80mm, T3, blah, blah....
According to Stellarium, the last shots I took of the Moon on Sept 12th (Thursday night) at 11:16PM were at 98.8% illuminated on the waxing side. Turns out that when I took these last night, the Moon was at 98.8% illuminated on the waning side.
This is 26 stacked shots with my C80-HD, Canon T3 (1100D), ISO 800 @ 1/500th sec exposure.
And just for fun, this is from Thursday night (Sept. 12), same setting and processing, at the same illumination, just on the waxing side. Notice the difference in the 'wobble"; my camera was level with the ground
As for tonight? More thunderstorms are supposed to roll in. I can already feel it in the air. At least now, I've vacuumed up all the spiders and associated cobwebs in my basement. However, I'm sure their relatives will be here tomorrow...
Thanks for reading and clear skies to you all!

This has certainly been a year for me. Not out of the woods yet, or ever, but I take everything month to month. So far, so good. I have always been who I am, but the past year has made me appreciate it even more.
This is from last December, just after I found out everything. Wasn't feeling the best, but I had to work and was going to see Sunny. She knew
I know the third shot is missing her head as she's defying gravity; I couldn't react as fast as her....
Things like this make me smile just thinking about it, and help keep me going
All the best my good friend
Mark
