Not bad at all. The moon can be pretty tricky when it is near full. Hard to pull out any contrast.

Patrick,

That is a good old image! Great sharpness. Like Tom said, the fuller the moon is, the lower the contrast.

Bryan is employing extraordinary processing techniques!

Thanks,
Jim

Only way I could see it was do a right click and then view image. I downloaded it, and open it up in "preview" (iMac default picture viewer)
It is an excellent pic, considering it to be near full and yet you pulled out all the nice detail!

Now here's someone who's thinking... That worked; great image! The contrast is really nice as well as the terminator line too :D That's a hard one to get without blowing it out, well done.

No the pic never showed up; and the link when left clicked would not open (using iMac Mojave v10.14.6+ Firefox v69.0)

Not sure why that's happening Rob. I'd use the old I hate Macs so it must be that, but I don't think that's it ;) Maybe try in Safari or Chrome, if you have it.

Hey Partick,

To add more weird to this story. I did see the image in your post when I first read it. Now, it shows as a tiff graphic and you have to right click and open in a new tab which downloads the image.

That's a great image, Patrick!

I popped in earlier and it was showing in the thread, but now I have to download it. I think the forum software might have a bit of a hang up on TIF images. Not sure. I'll see if I can come up with anything on that. :)
