Ol' Luna Sept 4th

#1

Post by Thefatkitty »

As I write this, it's 12:31 AM on the 5th, quite clear out, and supposed to be until 6AM. Of course. Just when I'll be soon sleeping... :asleep:

At just after 7:30 last night, the clouds kind of cleared and I could see the Moon poking in and out of the clouds. Having really nothing better to do, I thought to set up my usual 80mm and try my luck.I managed to take 42 pics through my T3, 20 at ISO 800 @ 1/100 and 22 at the same ISO at 1/125 sec exp. The 100th/sec shots were the ones to go with, especially as none of the frames had cloud wisps in them, unlike the 125 sec exp's.

Even though the effort was there, it's not the best results. PIPP, AS2, ImPPG:

I also took some pics of Jupiter and tried the "Movie" setting on my T3 with said planet. Not too sure what to expect and I'm too tired to try to sort/figure this out now. Tomorrow should be interesting :D

Have yourselves a good night!
Mark
