Hi Chris.
These were taken with a Samsung Note 4. It took wonderful images. I do not know what camera they used in that phone but it worked better than any cell phone camera I have had since. That phone took an update and after that it would not
turn on so I lost that camera. I have slways been suspicious of Samsung and their "updates" . I still have the phone.

That particular night was a special kind if good with high transparency and high quality seeing. It was unusual here.

My wife has a Note 5 that she lets our three year old grand niece use for her "phone" when I got her a Galaxy S9. I do like Samsung's phones, I've never had one brick on me. I got the Note 20 because of the camera. There is an app called DeepSky Camera that is in beta. It runs sequences just like APT and NINA. It should prove to be interesting to see what it does.

Clear Skies Mark!

Mark, thanks for the trip down memory lane! Yeah, 2018 was a good year for clear skies... What's happened?

Those are fantastic shots as well, wow! Great detail; amazing what phones can do. I had a Samsung Note 4 as well; unfortunately it didn't power on one day. Still, it gave great pictures, as you know!

Just got in from work (another 12-hour day) and Sarah said there was a mount-head on the table in the backyard.... Sure enough, there was...

I need food, a shower, and to send you a PM; hopefully I'll stay awake long enough!

Thanks for the share and talk soon :D

The AP interest is always running. 😊
I will likely make more attempts with my DSLR.
The moon is relatively more simple in terms of post processing. I have one or two images of galaxies which I enjoyed doing several years ago. I have better mounts now that will afford me more opportunity.
I would like to try...

My problem is that the tech of complicated processing frustrates me. I think what I may do will be on the scale of old "Hankmeister's" minimalist work. It will be satisfying to me even in its limitations.

So the answer in short is...Yes! 😊

Hi Mark,

I tried shooting the Moon through the Hyperion EPs with the Canon a few weeks back, I got some serious chromatic aberration around it that I haven't figured out how to remove yet. Wondering if you did as well and how you processed it if you did. I tried PS removal tool but it didn't help much. I'm wondering if it's from the diagonal I was using to achieve focus, I know it's not from the scope. I've since deleted them as they weren't in a good sharp focus so I'm going to give it another go. I'll try the Note 20 as well if I can get the NexYZ adapter to hold the phone flat against the EP.
