Moon on 27th May 2021

#1

Post by maceemiller »

Hi all.

Heres my effort at the Moon on 27th May 2021.

Used my old Tasco 4" 900mm reflector with my Canon 100d at prime focus. Took one shot at ISO 100 at 1/125th exposure.

Played with saturation and contrast in PI.

Hello Carl. A superb lunar image. Excellent contrast and it almost has a "pearlescent" appearance. Thanks for taking the time to put this up on the forum here for us to enjoy Carl, and congratulations on winning the TSS APOD Award today.

Thankyou :) I really like this image which is unusual for me as I normally criticise my own efforts!

Great image Carl, especially for an old Tasco and a single shot as well! Great detail and color. I have more than a few old Tasco/Towa reflectors/fracs; if I can ask, what is the model of yours?

Congrats too on the APOD; well deserved! :D

All the best,
Mark

"The Hankmeister" Celestron 8SE, orange tube Vixen made C80, CG4 & AZ-EQ5 mounts.
Too much Towa glass/mirrors.

Ca-K - W/O 61mm, Antares 1.6 barlow, Baader 3.8 OD and Ca-K filters with a ZWO ASI174mm.
W/L - C80-HD with Baader 5.0 & 3.8 Solar film, Solar Continuum 7.5nm and UV/IR filters with a Canon EOS 550D.
