Moon from 3/26/21

#1

Post by Ed217 »

The Moon (96%) from last night (3/26/21). Taken with an ASI224MC camera, WO Z61 scope on an AVX mount. 5500 total frames, with best 20% used. Gain of 0 and exposures at 1.614ms. Processed through PIPP, Registax, and Apple Edit. Not the ideal target for a wide field scope, but first real night out with it and wanted to see what it could do in this case.

Hi Ed. A very nice near full moon image. You did a great job with this, as the full moon is difficult to record without blooming out details with over exposure. Your capture has excellent contrast and the ejecta rays really show up well too. Thanks for sharing this lunar work with us on here Ed, and keep up the good work.
