March 21 Afternoon Moon
I seldom shoot the Moon, but the forecast for tonight looked grim!!! Here is ~50 .14 second shots at 4:15 PM this afternoon. Used a ZWO ASI183MM Pro, Optolong Ha filter and SharpStar 61mm scope.
Stacked in MS ICE, a slight sharpen in Pix and rotated to the proper position in MS Photo viewer.

Re: March 21 Afternoon Moon
I often snap the Moon in daylight but do not have a camera like yours. My Bresser Electronic Eyepiece has packed up and I'm financially challenged. I see you have also come to the conclusion that chromatic aberration is worse in daylight, especially with so much blue light. I thought it would be better to use the red data but experience has shown me that it is best to use the green.
I would be interested to see how you would get on with a green filter. As we are getting to the timer of year when it won't get dark until bedtime some nights, I will be spending those nights snapping the Moon, often before sunset.

Re: March 21 Afternoon Moon
Thanks all! I swapped out the scope and camera this afternoon, so It will be a while until I have that combo on the mount again. I mounted my 8" SW Quattro and planned on using the ASI533MC Pro for galaxies (narrower FOV ). The switch over was going well, but it is no small feat!!!!! I only have one one Electronic focuser, so off the focuser comes and on to the Quattro. As I use StellarMate OS running a ZWO ASIAir Pro that had to be swapped over too. And someone suggested using a Powered hub....
The hub is where the wheels started falling of the wagon. It is a 5V hub, everything else is 12V. I built a power supply out of a old computer last fall. I even made a 12V spider to keep the rats nest of wire to a minimum.... Except one issue, To power the focuser on the Newt I like a 90 degree plug-in, so it is separate plug-in. You guessed it!!!!! plugged the 12V into the 5V and vice-versa.
After I smelled the magic smoke, a couple things got buggered! While not too expensive a fix, finding what I need in the middle of nowhere...... The expensive stuff is fine, the serial to USB and the hub are done!
Not happy with myself at the moment!!! :twitch:
