99.8% Full Moon with a C5

#1

Post by Dyno05 »

I shot this November 27th through my little C5. It was mounted on a 6-8 SE mount that was sitting on top of my grill.
It’s composed of 14 RAW images stacked in Autostakkert and wavelets adjusted a touch with Registax. The color was finished off in PSExpress. It’s not quite as sharp as I was hoping for, but I’m really happy with the color.

Hello Dana. I really enjoy your lunar image with the C5 scope. Full moons are hard to capture as the overall brightness tends to "wash out" some things. However, you have nice contrast, surface details, and the ejecta rays all quite visible. Thanks for sharing this nice capture with us Dana, and congratulations on winning the TSS APOD Award today.
