That's a really sharp image Andy, except for the bit in the middle! What was the cause?

Regards

Graeme

Hi Graeme I am not sure,I checked the video and is on the images and not sure if it was the turbelence in the air or movement on the scope. Then they would show up all over the final image as distortion.I did see a white speck in that are when I processed through autostakkert, when I get another chance at the moon.I am going to check that area with a 3x barlow to see if there could have been a landslide giving me the distortion or some sort of tremor possible on the moon as I am not sure.
Thanks
Andy

Hi Graeme I have used another video that I took and for comparison I have re processed this image and seems not to have the distortion.I think it must have been the turbelence in the atmosphere that has caused the issue as does not seem to show up on this new image.I thought I would post and see what you think if it is better than the oringinal.

Nothing wrong with that one Andy.

Shame about that first one, other than the blur, the clarity was excellent!

My guess is you had a moth or something land on the mirror.
