I am learning to stack photos and the likes, which for a beginner is a pretty complicated process.

This image was created from an .avi video recorded with my phone using an adapter on my 25mm eyepiece of my 8" telescope. I then processed the video in PIPP and first processed 1400 frames and saved them as tif but they wouldn't open in Registax so I had to reprocess and save them as bmp.

One I had the frame images, I clicked align, left everything as it was, stacked and adjusted the wavelets and saved the image then I cropped it in Photoshop.

You're right about that, I see many images with an 8" like mine that are amazing, like Jupiter, I barely see the lines and if I record or take a photo with my mobile it's just a bright over exposed circle

Just like most other things it practice, practice, practice. Of course, we chose to photograph really dim, far away things at night I think that could be part of the problem

Hi Paul. A very nice lunar image. You have great contrast and lots of surface details along the terminator. Thanks for sharing this work with us on here Paul, and keep up this great work.
