I got lucky last week and finally captured Sombrero Galaxy. The lucky part was I'm trying ASI Studio software LiveStack. OMG it made stacking images so easy! Disclosure: I'm not an ASI employee nor am I being paid for this. LOL....Actually this is two part, I'm attaching the image and wondering if anyone else has been using this software? The image is 8 photo's 60 sec. exposure high gain and edited with Corel Perfectly Clear v2 SE. I used my Apertura 60 mm ED on my iEXOS 100 mount.

Hey Dano, that's an awesome image!! I'm really curious...do you have an ASI camera...if so which one....and is it a OSC or mono?? I'm thinking about replacing my OLD QHY9M and it seems that a BUNCH of people are using these new ASI cameras with real good results. My only experience with ASI cameras is my ASI120MC that I use for guiding.

Yes, I just started using it last night with my 294 MC Pro. Unfortunately the wind gusts up to 30 mph prevented me from getting anything decent or even usable.

Sorry I left that part out. I have a ZWOASI224MC camera. It’s supposed to have been for planets but it sure works good for me. It’s color.

I got a note from Sam at ZWO on CN, I asked him about a manual for Studio so I can learn about the darks, flats and bias when stacking. He said they look at like this “Good software doesn’t need a manual”. He sent me a link for the next version in beta to try out. I’ll try to post that link here in a little while.
